01 Hospitals

Digital marketing for
hospitals in India

Patient acquisition, OPD coordination and admission support for hospitals and nursing homes.

Hospitals are the one buyer on this site that does not search for marketing. They search for the result: how to increase OPD footfall, how to increase OPD patients, how to increase patient footfall. That is an unusually honest way to shop, and it is also exactly where most agency work stops short — a campaign report ends at the enquiry, and an OPD register ends at the patient who arrived. Those are different numbers.

Everything below was read from Google's own query logs on 28 October 2026, and only queries Google marks as coming from real searches were kept. They are printed exactly as they came back.

02 How patients search

Patients filter by whether
their money works here

Which decides what a listing has to say, and what advertising cannot fix.

  • cashless hospital near me
  • ayushman card hospital near me
  • ayushman card accepted hospital near me
  • network hospital near me
  • cashless maternity hospital near me
  • hospital opd appointment
  • hospital appointment booking online

Before specialty, before reputation, before distance, a large share of hospital searches in India are asking one thing: will my cover be accepted. The verified queries run through "cashless hospital near me" in every specialty — eye, dental, maternity, orthopaedic, ayurvedic — and through "ayushman card hospital near me" in almost as many variations. A hospital that is empanelled and does not say so clearly, in the places a patient actually looks, is being filtered out before anyone reads a word about its doctors.

Distance is the strongest single factor in the map results a patient sees, and it is the one factor nobody can buy. What moves it, and what is a waste of money, is in local SEO for clinics.

03 Where patients are lost

The OPD fills.
The admission does not follow

Visibility makes the phone ring. This is what happens to the call.

A hospital has a step no clinic has, and it is the expensive one: the patient who attended the OPD and was advised a procedure, and then did not come back for it. Nothing in a marketing report reaches that far — the report ends at the enquiry, several steps earlier. Departments also compete against each other for the same marketing budget, which is why hospital reporting that is not broken down by department tells the management almost nothing it can act on.

01

The enquiry reaches the wrong department

A hospital switchboard routes; it does not convert. An enquiry that arrives for cardiology and is handled as a general query is lost without anybody recording that it existed.

02

The advised procedure is never followed up

This is the single largest leak in a hospital, and it is invisible in every advertising report ever written, because it happens after the consultation.

03

Occupancy is read as a marketing number

Bed occupancy moves for reasons that have nothing to do with enquiries — case mix, length of stay, season. Treating it as a campaign metric produces the wrong decision in both directions.

What we run against that is the same four steps everywhere: a call within five minutes of an enquiry, confirmation and reminders so a booking is attended, a follow-up after the consultation, and coordination through to the next stage. It is reported as completed OPDs and procedures — not reach, not impressions, not leads. The sequence is in marketing gives leads, four steps turn them into IPD, and every practice we work with gets the Growth App free.

04 What this field searches

What hospitals practices
go looking for

The queries run by the doctors in this field, not by their patients.

  • hospital marketing agency in india
  • hospital digital marketing agency in india
  • healthcare marketing agency in india
  • how to increase opd footfall in hospital
  • how to increase opd patients in hospital
  • how to increase patient footfall in hospital
  • seo agency for hospitals in india

Three of those are agency searches and three are the outcome stated without an agency anywhere in it. That split is the whole argument of this page: the hospitals asking "how do I increase OPD footfall" have already worked out that buying more enquiries is not the same as filling an OPD.

One word, two meanings

In this field "software" — and often "marketing" — means two unrelated things, and practices search for both with the same words. The clinical half here is a hospital information system — IPD billing, inventory, pharmacy, lab and claims, and nothing we make replaces it. The half we work on is the enquiry, the OPD that followed it, and the admission that followed that. Worth saying plainly, because the wrong reader otherwise spends an evening finding out.

05 Checking an agency

Four questions to ask
before you sign anything

Ask these of every agency in this field, including this one.

  • Can they tell you what happened after the enquiry?
  • Are they promising a number of patients?
  • Do they know the advertising rules for your register?
  • Who actually answers your calls?

Why each one matters, and what a good answer sounds like, is in what to check before hiring a medical marketing agency. The third question is the one this page would press hardest: the advertising restrictions depend on which register you are on, the liability for breaking them sits with the practitioner rather than the agency that suggested it, and the rules for doctors are set out in the NMC guidelines — while dentists are judged against a different code entirely.

06 Starting

Start by finding the step
you are losing

Before spending anything, count four numbers for one month.

Enquiries received · appointments booked · appointments attended · treatments that went ahead. Wherever the biggest fall sits, that is the constraint — and it is rarely the one people expect. If enquiries are healthy and bookings are not, the problem is response time, and no amount of extra advertising fixes it.

That count is what a practice review produces, with your own numbers in it. The packages page sets out what each level includes and costs — the same figures everywhere in India — and how we grow a practice shows how the parts connect. If you would rather read about your city than your field, the city pages run the same check on where you practise.

Questions this field asks

How do you increase OPD footfall in a hospital?

By finding which step is losing people before spending anything on the step above it. Count four numbers for one month, by department: enquiries received, appointments booked, appointments attended, procedures that went ahead. If enquiries are healthy and attendance is not, the problem is confirmation and reminders, and more advertising makes it worse by adding volume to a leaking process. If enquiries themselves are low, visibility work is worth doing — but it is the second answer, not the first.

Do you report by department?

Yes, because a hospital figure that is not broken down by department cannot be acted on. Orthopaedics and dermatology do not share a patient journey, a price point or a decision cycle, and averaging them produces a number that describes neither. Reporting is by completed OPDs and by IPD and procedures, per department.

What does marketing for hospitals & multi-speciality cost?

Our packages are a flat fee for a fixed term, set out in full on the packages page — the same figures everywhere in India, because the work is the same. We do not price per lead or per patient. Beyond being impossible to verify, per-outcome pricing in healthcare points the incentive at the number of patients rather than at whether they needed treatment, and it is the structure the NMC’s October 2026 guidelines name directly.

Can you guarantee more patients?

No, and you should be wary of anyone in this field who says yes. What is committed is the work delivered and the reporting on it: every enquiry, where it came from, and what happened to it afterwards — including the ones that went nowhere.
